Coffee from Chiapas – Tradition meets sustainability
In the state of Chiapas, Mexico's cradle of coffee cultivation, beans grow that combine history and taste. The oldest coffee plantations in the region look back on more than 100 years of tradition. With the mountain slopes of the Sierra Madre that run through the state and create microclimates, Chiapas is a paradise for coffee lovers. Influenced by the winds of the Atlantic on one side and the Pacific on the other, coffee of exceptional quality is produced here.
Grupo Siembra Abundante, a community of 585 small farmers from the municipality of Yajalón, was founded in 2019 and is composed predominantly of members of the Tzeltal ethnic group. This dedicated group, consisting of 310 men and 275 women, is fully committed to the production of organically certified coffee.
For the farmers, protecting the environment and natural resources is a top priority. They consciously avoid chemical additives and rely on sustainable cultivation methods to produce coffee that is both environmentally friendly and of the highest quality.
With every cup of coffee from Chiapas, you not only enjoy an exceptional taste, but also support a community that lives tradition, sustainability and top quality.
Yipi Coffee – coffee that inspires and makes the world a little bit better.
